Gerrard has been attending language literacy and social intervention programmes from Aidan Rush since the end of 2012. He has been attending classes with Ms Zunaida and Ms Hassina who have helped him to bridge the gap in his development in language and social domains, so that he can cope better while studying in a mainstream school.
The therapists care a lot for the child and consistently ask about the child’s development at home and in school. Besides forming rapport with Gerrard, they also forged strong relationships with our other children. They conduct parent empowerment sessions in which strategies were shared and discussed. Apart from working closely with the child and parents, the therapists proactively work with the teachers from the school. Aidan Rush is the place that parents can consider for a nurturing intervention programme for their children.
